A spokesperson for the agency said on Saturday that they now favor the lab theory after years of saying they didn't have enough information to conclude on its origins.
The main takeaway from this is that you weren’t allowed to say this at one point, or even to consider it. Reddit (mods and mod bots) banned people for discussing the lab leak theory at all, and yet it’s clear that it is a viable theory. But it wasn’t just reddit. It came from the very top and it was firm, to the point where the vehement denial is incriminating in itself. Why would they deny it so vigorously when there is clearly sufficient evidence that it’s a reasonable and even probable theory?
I’m actually not even sure how or why it became a political issue. Wouldn’t we want to know?

Yep! I remember those times. So meany people lied to cover up the real origin. I would love to know why. The truth will come out eventually.
And to your point, I remember back on reddit, you’d get called a racist for saying it. And then banned. I know this because it happened to me! lol
I was on a subreddit discussing that topic and got banned by bots from a dozen default subs.
