HBO has opted not to proceed with a second season of The Franchise, its superhero movie satire from Jon Brown, Sam Mendes and Armando Iannucci.

Was it looking too much like the upcoming DC universe?

I actually had fun with it. 20 minutes of mindless fun per week was cool.
