I feel the term “conspiracy theory” is unwarranted here, since the theories just say it might have been Russia, which would be hardly a conspiracy.
Also, if the pictures on the article are genuine, I’ve seen bird strikes, they tend to dent the fuselage, not leave few centimetre large holes. There is also usually a whole lot of blood.

Yep. And that hypothesis (evidenced by the shrapnel damage) isn’t even claiming a conspiracy. Merely that a Russian AA crew fucked up….again.
Even when there isn’t a war on, the AA fucks up a lot.
With a war on, it’s reasonable just to take it for granted.
