We don’t have capitalism in healthcare. There are “profits” but because the system is not a free market they’re more “spoils” than “profit”. Profit comes when you sell something, and forcing an exchange is not a sale.
Free market is just a flavor of capitalism. The main goal of capitalism is to give more capital for the capital holders.
Removing capitalism from everything isnt going to realistically happen any time soon. You’re better off turning it into something everyone can benefit from. Bad actors abuse the boundaries/loopholes everyday. What loopholes and boundary pushing can good actors take advantage of?
“There are decades where nothing happens, and there are weeks when decades happen.”
Just because something can’t be achieved immediately doesn’t mean you shouldn’t set yourself up for future success.
Sure, we can do our best to find quick success now to keep from being overwhelmed… but ignoring long-term goals means we’ll be struggling for as long as we do.
Idk how that’s your take away from what I said, but ok.
Capitalism, by definition, isn’t something everyone can benefit from. There always must be someone on the losing side.
