    one of the best pieces of investigative reporting I’ve read in recent years. the subject is beyond sickening, maddening and dreary. the failures of institiutions on every level, inert and bereft of any desire to do their fucking jobs, vapidly hoping “the market” will self-regulate something that shouldn’t have been even in the vicinity of market forces.
