honestly, braff made this series. he was a huge part of the draw for me… the self-deprecation… the voice-overs. i cannot imagine this being any good without some of those braff-specific factors.
dont get me wrong, the rest of the cast really made this show great also. i hope they keep the same theme going but with them as a matured clinical staff
It sounds like Braff is ready to revisit the show for a season or two, per the article, but I also think most TV is lightning in a bottle. There’s no formula for recapturing the magic, eve if you do put all the pieces back together.
If they were to do what they’d originally wanted with S9 it could even be a decent starting point for a new series. I can’t imagine Zach or Donald turning this down, they’re still hosting their podcast
