Can’t do a full lore dump as I should go to bed, but this is about the antonine dynasty if you want to learn more, I can give some one liners
Nerva: was older when he started and ruled for a bit, mostly just stabilized the empire after a not so good performance by his predecessor domitian
Trajan: one of the best military generals, conquered mesopotamia and brought the empire to its greatest territorial extent
Hadrian: grecophile who consolidated the gains of Trajan, built a wall etc. Was the second gayest emperor, looking at you elagabalus, and got shit for making everyone worship his dead boyfriend as the god of beauty.
Abtoninus pius: good emperor, not much notable which is probably a good thing. Also built a wall
Marcus Aurelius: platonic ideal of a philosopher king. Great general, wrote a book on stoic philosophy called meditations. Wouldve probably gone down as the best emperor if he adopted an heir instead of passing it to:
Commodus: one of the worst emperors, as the meme shows. Was obsessed with gladiatorial combat and fought in the coliseum a couple times. While he was playing gladiator though a series of advisors ran the empire into the ground.
It’s ironic that Commodius was obsessed with gladiators because Marcus Aurelius literally wrote on like page 2 of Meditations how that was a waste of time
