So we only had 2 Worlds with Swiss, but this is an interesting observation. Is it meaningful yet? Who knows, I’ll leave that up for you to decide. I’m just sharing the data.

Worlds 2023:

3-0 teams in Swiss: GenG and JDG

GenG lost first game to BLG in their quarterfinal.

(Series ended 3-2 BLG)

JDG lost their first game to KT in their quarterfinal.

(Series ended 3-1 JDG).

Worlds 2024:

3-0 teams in Swiss: GenG and LNG

LNG lost their first game to Weibo in their quarterfinal.
