Typically i use my shirt balled up as a pillow, but i recently started to wear new long sleeve shirts that are very thin and did not make a good pillow at all, so it may be time to finally get an actual pillow.

    I said I’d report back, and I forgot 😬

I’ve gone a few times now, and haven’t used a pillow. Though I’ve been using an 8ft hammock, and I’m 6ft tall, so maybe that has something to do with it. I finally broke down and bought an 11ft hammock, it’ll be here tomorrow, and I camp with it in a few weeks. So again, I’ll report back 😁

I’ve been using the Klymit Pillow X. Working well for me. Packs down pretty small. I bought another one to put between my knees, as I’m a side sleeper, though I haven’t had the opportunity yet to try it out.

I’ve only hung overnight twice. The first time I didn’t know what an underquilt was, and I ended up in the house on the floor in the middle of the night.

The second time I was more prepared, and I’m pretty sure I didn’t use a pillow, just leaned my head against the side of the hammock.

I’m going again next week and I think I’m gonna avoid packing a pillow. I’ll report back 🤷‍♂️
