This. Bioremediation has promising potential but as someone who has done bioremediation research in various applications… your comment reflects how I wish more people would think. Far too many people interpret advancements like this as a free pass to continue practices terrible for the environment.
IMO, bioremediation is basically being hijacked by corporate polluters (oil companies) trying to greenwash their products.
