If this is your worry, then your only options are either stick with instances backed by established organizations (there are a few of them already), or run your own instance (you’ll have full control over your data and federation block list).

I am personally comfortable with my account disappearing overnight (the comments would still be on other instances anyway, I think) but I guess some users are not
