Match Events (Experimental)
Time | Event Type | Event Description |
---|---|---|
0’ | And we are off | |
2’ | A foul gives a free kick in a dangerous area to Madrid. Marinoo goes down due to a contact | |
3’ | Mainoo looks to be going off for Eriksen. Free kick is wasted | |
4’ | ⚽ | Goal Madrid Bellingham beats the offside trap as Wan Bissaka played him on. He chipped over Onana to get the first goal of the game |
8’ | Casemiro and Garnacho linkup well for a chance. Good effort | |
12’ | Great run by Vini who cuts across a dangerous ball. Still 1-0 | |
18’ | Feel like I should mention this. Onana passed a cool ball under pressure from 2 real players pressing hard | |
19’ | Real get another opportunity as they break the offside trap yet again. We really need to work on this. Granted keeping Vini at bay is a challenge any day | |
30’ | Real’s counter is deadly and hard to manage for the united defense. United seem much more fluid in possession. The game is going their way but positive signs for united | |
34’ | I feel bad for whoever has to listen to these ESPN commentators on any regular basis | |
37’ | A great flurry of passes leads to a chance for Rashford who misses the target by a bit. Good movement from United | |
43’ | 🟨 | Lisandro gets a Yellow for being himself, All harm all foul. Good strong mistimed tackle on Jude. |
45’ | Half Time 1:0 to Real | |
46’ | 2nd Half KO No changes for Utd | |
51’ | United get 2 great chances. One from open lay as a series of passes opens up Real. The other from a dangerous corner | |
56’ | Excellent strike by Garnacho towards goal. Would’ve been a banger if it weren’t for a good save | |
60’ | UTD Subs That’s the team . Too many to count. Linerlof, Antony, Dalot Williams, Pellistri, Magure, Sancho | |
65’ | End to end chances as Scott M. Gets a great chance at goal after a good run. Real get another break on the counter but Onana saves via his legs | |
68’ | United has been playing very well. We get another good chance with VdB. As i say this a corner from Mardrid requires a line save. Exciting game this | |
70’ | Vini Jr goes off | |
85’ | Chances are going both ways but United definitely have the edge. Real are having difficulty trying to get a stable counter together. As i say this, some people invade the pitch… | |
89’ | ⚽ | Goal Real Madrid 2-0 Moment of magic from … Joselu? Great finish |
90+’ | Full Time 2:0 Manchester Untied lose; |

Deleted mine as @Skyraptor7@lemmy.world is gonna be running this one. Come on United!
Alright folks, time to get your predictions in. The game is being played in my hometown actually. United played there a while ago when the newly transferred Lukaku scored a goal against City. That game ended 2:0 (iirc).
I think this is going to be 1:1.
2-2, gonna be a belter

I’m not sure the linesman on the far side knows he’s a linesman
Full time, good match all round. I think there are plenty of positives to take away from today. I look forward to seeing the team develop. Onana was great today.
Shit…this sucks for Kobbie

Onana was massive. The quick decisions under immense pressure and pressing attackers at a very high line were incredible to see. I think our team was playing a bad high line at the start and got slowly better at it over time.

Completely agree with your points. And we need to play our best players in their best position. Bruno on in the middle and Rashford on the left as you say
Half time - I think we have been playing some good stuff out there, The counter attack is catching us off guard, especially with Vini. Jude is also doing a number on our midfield. Onana has been good imo.
Delighted that Mainoo gets a start tonight, cracking opportunity for him
These audio issues on MUTV are getting annoying, rather they keep Gardner and Thornley muted the whole game!
That Jude Bellingham is rather good isn’t he

Vini Jr… damn
United Subs: Subs | Heaton, Dalot, Lindelof, Maguire, Williams, Amad, Eriksen, McTominay, Pellistri, Van de Beek, Antony, Forson, Sancho.
Love this; “It’s a wreakless challenge from Williams” -> Replay showing clear foul on Williams -> “It’s wreakless in a sense that he knows exactly what he is doing”
Seriously. Lol
Oof that was a lovely move, shame it didn’t quite pan out
