For me, it may be that the toilet paper roll needs to have the open end away from the wall. I don’t want to reach under the roll to take a piece! That’s ludicrous!

That or my recent addiction to correcting people when they use “less” when they should use “fewer”

    Except when you’re walking on a road, you should walk on the opposite side of vehicle traffic.

      And going out of the way, instead of stubbornly coming towards me as if you own this road and I couldn’t run you over.

      If you think about it, that’s following the rule on the footpath that would otherwise be there. That edge would be towards traffic, it’s just reduced to zero width.
