If there are 2,000 in orbit, why would it be a rare view?
Because everything possible is done to track these objects and typically avoid them to the greatest extent possible so you don’t accidentally hit one at orbital velocity.
It is only relatively recently that various groups are putting significant effort into figuring out how to handle basically orbital garbage so as to prevent kessler syndrome.
