Do you struggle to write every day? Come join an accountability team and compete for the prize of most consistent writers!
Last week’s contestants: please reply with your score. Everyone else, keep reading!
Here’s how it works:
1️⃣ Reply to this message seeking an accountability partner, or reply to another user’s request. Each team must consist of exactly two members.
2️⃣ This coming week, keep track of the number of days you have spent at least fifteen minutes working on your book, blog, or other writing project. The number of successful days is your score.
3️⃣ Add your score together with your partner’s. The maximum number of points a team can earn is 14.
4️⃣ Next week on Sunday, a new announcement will be posted. One member of your team must reply with the team’s score. Be honest. If you lie, your pants will spontaneously burst into flames.
5️⃣ The team with the highest score will be declared the winner! In the event of a tie, the winning team will be chosen randomly.
Remember, the goal is not to write a million words. Rather, the goal is consistency—writing every day.

(I obviously can’t figure out formatting on Liftoff) Into the idea of a writing partner if anyone wants to collab on that!
Did you ever find a partner? I’m game if not
I’m down. You’re racking up a good score with multiple partners! That’s great. What do you tend to write? For me it’s poetry and short stories.
I’m excited! I’m working on a long story whose first chapter I keep editing over and over.
I also like writing horror. I’m supposed to be working on a horror DND campaign right now too.
I like to write poetry, but can only write it in a different voice other than my own.
Would love to read either horror or poetry, whatever you got! One recurring topic in my writing is teaching, since it’s easier to write what you know. And I also some editing in my work, simplifying texts for students to make them more accessible.
Here’s a story I posted here. https://lemmy.world/post/1007343
All my other writing is on Reddit. I’m trying to figure out where to post it so I can work on it while letting others see it.
I am always editing things until they feel just right and get feedback. Reddit was perfect for that.
I’d love to read any of your writings.
That was a great read! The descriptions of the Pale Wood and dark forces, and the reunion between father and daughter stood out. Would love to read a continuation! I’ll PM you a poem I’ve been working on.
@Lakija and I have a combined score of 10/14.
Congratulations on winning this week! If you have content to promote, please let me know what two links you’d like to have pinned at the top of Sunday’s announcement.
Keep writing!
I forgot all about the winning part lol
I’d be interested in having an accountability buddy. I may have had motivation to write the last few days but that won’t last and I might as well build up the habit while I’m here
I’ll be your buddy if you haven’t already been matched
yeah, I haven’t gotten someone yet!
Accountabilibuddies!
Do you have a buddy? I’m available! I write everyday
Can I have two separate partners? I actually have a pretty cool partner right now!
I wouldn’t mind having a second partner as well to inspire or help or whatever. :D
Edit: I’m available to anyone and everyone if you haven’t found one. I just want to write and talk about writing :)
I’d love to be your partner again! Last week was my most productive week in a while.
Of course! You can be my partner every week! Writing and keeping it up with someone else is really useful and fun.
I even revived my Tumblr from the dead and plan to post my work there
The only real rule is you need to be writing. Other than this, you can do anything 👍
