What’s in your opinion the best and most private way to register a domain? I was made aware of https://njal.la/ but I’m a bit hesitant
Got a couple, one is my
realname.my_country
, which I use for anything “official”. Then I got a couple ones for experiments, and their primary requirement is being cheap and easy to get, which turned out to be.space
: https://www.get.spaceA note on the privacy: If you want to have any sort of legal guarantee to stay in control of the domain, then the registrar needs to have your real name and contact info. Many offer not publish those in whois queries, usually naming that “feature” something like “privacy protection” and charging extra for it :p

Afaik this is standard (you don’t pay extra) for european registrars now. They are (in theory) only allowed to give full whois information under specific circumstances. Some enforce this better than others though.
That may well be, it would make sense in light of the GDPR… I haven’t dealt with a European Registrar in a long time.
My ISP currently bans domains registered with njal.la
I currently use https://www.nearlyfreespeech.net/ because it’s super old school and I can use it without javascript.
I have an xyz domain, which I was going to use for professional purposes but several enterprises were blocking it cuz xyz. I finally bought a similar one for a little bit more with .com
I completely understand if you don’t want to say, but what ISP is banning njala? I find that as bad as if they banned whole hosting providers or TLDs
masmovil
MásMovil sucks. At least in my zone :/
I can recommend gandi.net!
