In general I’m not a fan of this approach, but the estimated $8-$12 per year per household doesn’t seem like a huge burden. And the result is a tripling of current spending on weatherization & other green housing projects. So long as the majority of that spending ends up to the benefit of working class people I’m on board. Even if not, I’m not opposed.
