There’s a number of immersive sims and highly reactive RPGs I can recommend, but nothing quite fills the void of a cyberpunk conspiracy immersive sim left by a lack of new Deus Ex.
What did they do to “kill” it?
It all started with that stupid Avengers game. Wanted to cash in on something popular so they reallocated developers from the next DX game to it. That will always piss me off because the game sucked and went down in flames. From there it was all downhill.
I mean thanks, but this video is basically as long as the longest film I’ve ever seen.
You asked.
It really is a travesty.
My issue with Deus Ex: Mankind Divided was that it felt unfinished. It just sort of… ended when it felt like it should have been midgame. Like there was a lot more planned but they had to just ship it out the door to meet some sort of early deadline.
It was supposed to be the first in a trilogy, but yeah I didn’t find it very satisfactory on its own, especially compared to HR.
Too soon man, too soon…
