So I saw on facebook a video of a guy taking a styrofoam cooler, cut a whole on top, attach a fan, cutting 4 holes and attach 4 plastic hose for ventilation, put some ice inside and turn it on to cool the room. does it really work? I am considering making it because it is summer right now and we don’t have ac in our apartment, and our apartment easily gets to 80, and last year with the heat wave, it was close to 90f. so I was wondering if it can cool a little bit the temp, I know it won’t cool the house but at least the small kitchen we have, which has a gas stove that really warms the house, or in the living room so we could watch tv. I am not expecting it to cool the entire house but make it bearable to be in certain rooms, or is it just going to melt the ice fast and will barely make any difference?
