Kinda wish that Valve would just make hall-effect the stock part. My left stick only lasted about a year, while the Gulikit shows no signs of stopping.

Kind of wish they’d release a kit for Xbox controllers… (or, rather, Microsoft/Nintendo/Sony would start using them stock)

I’m also curious what happened to the 7 in 1 Gulikit dock…

You can buy hall effect joysticks for those but you have to solder them yourself. Bought some and didn’t get to install them yet, but they seem promising.

Bit of extra unrelated info, so far I’ve had 4 360 controllers for 10+ years that never drifted, and two ps5 controllers less than a year old had to be repaired because they started drifting. I love the dualsense feel, but they sure used shitty joysticks.

Does anyone know of Gullikit is still doing the thing where their joysticks have the square active zone as opposed to round like the stock sticks? I bought a set for my LCD SteamDeck a bit over a year ago, and after learning about the square active zone causing issues for some, I haven’t bothered to install them.

I know people are waiting to see if these will have square dead zones, but other than that I don’t know if they’re still doing that or not.
