Hey all, I’m a cis ally in the upper Midwest of the USA. I offered a room to Keris a while back and she accepted.
She got here Wednesday night and things are going very well. She likes me, my wife, and our cats and one dog, and is learning to tolerate the other.
She has an attic bedroom that is her space alone.
She has time to unwind and figure out what she wants to do without fear of being dumped on the streets.
I just wanted to let you all know that we have taken her in and that she is safe and loved.
Absolutely, it’s just a matter of time and getting the cat door put in. The cats have never been allowed up there so they’ll love exploring the new territory too.
Finally, Keris hasn’t seen Community yet so she’ll soon see who inspired Troy and Abed, who are brothers, by the way.
I’ve heard so many good things about that show, I’ll get around to watching it at some point! I have a monstrous backlog of things to watch… mostly anime, and a yearly rewatch of LoTR extended (which I’m 1 movie in on right now, the actor for Theoden just died 😢)
I’m slightly obsessed. My phone’s ringtone is from the Conspiracy Theory episode, Professor Professorson’s ringtone. (Dun-dun-DUNNNNNN)
