Keyword Filtering
Sick of hearing about a particular topic? Add keyword filters to keep posts containg those terms from appearing in your feed. By default, keywords are compared case-insensitively, checked as whole-words, and only checked for presence within the post title, body, or embed description.
You can add modifiers to fine tune this somewhat:
!term
: Prefixing a keyword with an exclamation mark will compare it as case-sensitve. Useful for filtering acronyms.^term
: A carat tells the filter to check that the post elements start with the provided term.: An asterisk disables whole word checking will filter a post if the keyword is contained within other words.
At this time, modifiers cannot be combined. Perhaps that is something that will be implemented later.
Post filtering is available for the main feed and within communities.
Enhancements
UI Refinements
- Removed excess margin between “expand” button and bottom of preview text in feed.
- Spotify embeds for albums and playlists are now taller and easier to navigate
- Reduced gap between post metadata, URL, and body.
- Added user setting to truncate post URLs down to just the domain for rendering. Can change this behavior in settings.
- Added user setting to collapse/expand cross post list by default
- Hide “card/compact” switcher in small width to keep from overflowing. The fact it stayed inline was mostly just my testing device being unique.
Settings Control Panel
The settings control panel has had a complete overhaul and is no longer a total fustercluck.
- Looks much more sleek and modern
- Easier to use on mobile
- Much more organized
- More options now hide when unavailable due to a dependency being disabled or unavailable.
Bugfixes
- The Svelte native restore of scroll position wasn’t always returning to the correct position in the feed when returning from viewing a post. Overrode Svelte behavior and am now handling this manually in some cases and with the default Svelte behavior in others.
- Fixed where Mod badges weren’t showing in post views as after the component breakout/refactor; moderator object wasn’t passed through intermediary component.
- Added some missing error handling to a few post fetches.
Misc
- Added additional Invidious instance:
