a convenient cop out is what this is. You think someone as dumb as her could really keep a secret like that? You think she’s smart enough to have Opsec standards? You really believe she’s using burner phones and dead drops to communicate with Moscow? She can’t read above a fifth grade level and she’s outsmarting the three letter agencies and secret service?
No funding shall be made available to Ukraine unless restrictions on ethnic minorities’, including Hungarians in Transcarpathia, right to use their native languages in schools are lifted."
Boy I don’t know if you’ve been paying attention or not, but she ain’t exactly keeping it a secret. This ain’t a spy novel, you don’t even need to hide it. You just take the donations wherever they come.
You literally do. That’s the whole hubbub with AIPAC, is they weren’t required to register as a foreign agent, because it allows them to fund politicians, which is otherwise illegal. Taking foreign money is illegal you can be bribed by Americans all you want, but not foreigners.
Russia tends to use useful idiots. She doesn’t need to outsmart anyone. She doesn’t even need to know she’s working for Russia. But somehow she always ends up doing things that disproportionately benefits Russia.
Dude. This is America. You can be bribed legally. She doesn’t hide any of it. Maybe it’s hidden from you because you purposefully cover your eyes and make noise anytime anyone tries to make you aware of it. That doesn’t mean it’s actually a secret.
That they got caught, and they were a lot more intelligent than MTG, so I’d expect her to do the same by now. She’s a useful idiot, not a Russian agent.
I mean, yeah a non-Russian agent could definitely do that, what Ukraine is doing is fucked up. That said, no way in hell she knows wtf that means or where Transcarpathia is, so that’s pretty damning for sure. They should tap her phone like they do to the rest of us normies and find out where she’s getting it from.
That they got caught […] so I’d expect her to do the same by now
Absence of evidence is not evidence of it’s absence.
they were a lot more intelligent than MTG
Good thing it was the politician that got picked up according to the linked article and not some underling, right? Otherwise your point may be considered ignorant of the facts. But I’m sure you actually read the article, so no worries on your front.
You cannot be bribed by foreign governments legally…
True, but you can be bribed. All that has to be done is for them to not register as a foreign agent, which is illegal (for them, not the receiver) but it gets discovered reasonably regularly. You can find plenty of sources for this happening, and any reasonable person knows that it’s being done by all governments everywhere.
But you’re accusing me of being a Russian in another comment…
That’s a negative on that one. I pointed out what instance you were from. I suspect you’re American. I just suspect that you hate absolutely anything America and love the Russian authoritarian oligarchy.
Are you even American? Seems weird you were posting at noon Moscow time while most Americans were sleeping, huh?
Yep. I am. I have a weird sleep schedule. Not that it matters where I’m from or where you’re from. Anyone can be reasonable from anywhere. You aren’t taking a reasonable position (aka, based on reason, not feelings), but it has nothing to do with where you’re from, which again I assume is the US or at least western Europe.
Edit: Ironically, this was the next post on my feed. A German politician taking Russian money. I don’t know German law, but I’m sure it’s illegal there as well, yet it happened.
Do you think MTG didn’t receive any of this money or something? In her 2020 race (her first) she did receive money from the NRA. Butani was arrested in 2018, so it’s unclear how much influence she may have had. You don’t hear any politician getting called out for NRA associations prior to 2018 though so you can assume you wouldn’t hear much for anyone receiving foreign money for influence.
Yeah, I can’t believe anyone would dare try to like the Republican party to Russia. Next thing you’ll see is people claiming that Republican politicians flew to Moscow on July 4th, but that’s just a crazy accusation that is too crazy to be believable.
Nope, she’s pretty dumb, I doubt she knows what those words even mean. Wonder why they’re not tapping her phone like they do to normal citizens who have committed no crimes. They might find out where she’s getting these ideas.
Believe it or not, this is American politics. Not everything goes back to red scare propaganda about Russia infiltrating the US.
You’re right. Not everything.
But this is.

This is an amendment she presented:
If she’s so dumb, where does it come from?
Transcarpathia? Seriously?

What do you say to a GOP operative being convicted for doing that for the trump campaign?
That they got caught, and they were a lot more intelligent than MTG, so I’d expect her to do the same by now. She’s a useful idiot, not a Russian agent.
Pictured, things a not-russian-agent does.

Right, and somehow MTG is better at hiding it than everyone else who’s been caught, when she can’t even keep her personal life out of the spotlight.
She wouldn’t be the one getting caught. It’d be some foreign agent, such as Maria Butani, who was working as an unregistered Russian agent in the NRA, an organization who donates a lot of money to Republican politicians.

Removed, civility.
You a bot or troll? Komrade?

I guess senate majority Leader Chuck Schumer must be a Chinese communist then, right?
A comparison this bad could only come from a brain so smooth it’s frictionless.
Either that, or you need to explain your logic, because the problem here isn’t just a visit…

No, it’s not innocence. Look at the instance they’re from. They just have to come to Russia’s defence every time.

I’ve yet to see any evidence presented of Russia bribing politicians. It wouldn’t even fit their playbook. Have you read Foundations of Geopolitics?
If your eyes are closed, of course you can’t see evidence. Maybe you should open your eyes for once in a decade?
You think she understands the ethnic details of people in Ukraine and just happens to have formed an opinion that agrees with Russia?

I don’t think she can even pronounce transcarpathia.
Nope, she’s pretty dumb, I doubt she knows what those words even mean. Wonder why they’re not tapping her phone like they do to normal citizens who have committed no crimes. They might find out where she’s getting these ideas.
True, but in this case it certainly does.
