When a company charges more for a service without doing anything extra, they say that the prices are determined by supply and demand, the free market. They say it’s smart business.
When a worker wants more pay for the same work they’re called greedy lazy.
Someone explain to me how these two scenarios are not exactly the same?

Excuse me while I put on my Capitan Obvious glasses. As much as what I’m about to say disgustes me. The company has power and capital, the worker doesn’t have as much of either. In a neo-liberal capitalist society distribution depends on capital and/or power. The more capital you have, the more you deserve to have. Put another way, the winners deserve to win again, in capitalism. This doesn’t have to be the world we live in, but for most it is.
