I honestly don’t use it a ton, I generally use specialty trackers. I feel like the amount of torrents is pretty good, but the number of seeders is generally low. But that’s fine because it’s usually pretty fast seeds. Below are the stats if it helps at all:

        Maximum users: 31,337
        Enabled users: 21,735 Details
        Users active today: 4,210 (19.37%)
Users active this week: 7,876 (36.24%)
Users active this month: 11,970 (55.07%)
        Torrents: 557,791
        Requests: 37,058 (85.95% filled)
        Snatches: 25,294,672
        Peers: 588,259
        Seeders: 581,686
        Leechers: 6,573
        Seeder/leecher ratio: 88.49

I’m genuinely curious if some can eli5 how torrent trackers came into existence. Does anybody have any concise articles or youtube videos they recommend about the history of torrent trackers (the tech and the instances) from the beginning?

Hmm, I know there are two Pirate Bay documentaries, but I think they focus more on their story and the legal fallout rather than the origins of torrent piracy.

“Steal This Film” and “TPB AFK”
