Yall should consider integrating Monero micropayments into your registration process, works really great on monero.town People scan a qr code (embedded on registration via markdown) or paste the address into their wallet and in the application question they post the transaction ID. No awkward coming up with an answer and it contributes to keeping the instance alive. While people who break rules can just buy access again, if they constantly misbehave they are just giving you more coins 🤷♂️

I think that’s pretty cool that you have it set up that way over there! Not something we would do, though.
We do accept Donations in Monero (and other crypto too.) and I think that’s about as much as we’re going to go. I can’t see locking registration behind crypto donation being anything but a huge pain for people, and it’d probably only hurt us, especially since we’re heavily defederated.
