It’s funny because there’s pictures all throughout history (obviously only after the invention of photography) of people doing the exact same kinda shit with cameras and newspapers.
Lines of people sitting on benches nose deep in newspapers.
Every slight historical event was surrounded by cameras.
People have been buried in devices/distractions forever.
Forever is quite the hiperbole. Though I see your point.
Having said that…
Growing up, going to concerts or shows, I don’t remember a single camera among the audience. Or when we lived through an earthquake in the 80s. Not even a beeper.
Yeah I intended this image to mean “this is the only person living” as in… The only person alive… I should’ve also removed the word “living” because it seems like just cutting off “in the moment” wasn’t enough
we should pay more attention especially when walking across the street. I support the use of a phone for waiting in a dentists office or waiting for a bus. This seems like it solved a lot of issues with dead time we have in our life creating aggravation when waiting for someone who is busy.
If a person it instead of experiencing an event through their own eyes, eh, I think there’s a bigger fight than picking on how another person experiences their life. I’d stick to the issue about technology being used as distracting drivers or assholes who walk into traffic especially with their baby or pet while looking at the phone.
