Yeah, idk. Seems like he was not able to handle being berated for it. Personally, I would’ve just told them off and that if they don’t like it, beehaw is that way ➡ 🐝 .

This is something that one puts their own time money and effort into, if they’re not contributing towards the server heavily whether that be financially or sysadmin/dev wise, they do not owe you shit and have every right to tell you to go fuck yourselves.

        100% agree.

But most of these idiots don’t understand that they can just block communitys they don’t like Themselves…

Brainded consumers. Just the “average redditor” imported to lemmy, what a shame.

Going to say no, at least for now. We don’t have a problem with advertising or self-promotion in general, as long as it isn’t spammy. However, people who peddle onlyfans tend to actively exploit emotionally vulnerable individuals for money. This isn’t the type of behavior we’d like conducted on our platform, and can only see it doing damage to the community in it’s current state. I’ve also found that when you allow this sort of content your site basically becomes nothing but one big onlyfans ad and the content advertising onlyfans and similar overtakes virtually everything else.

I will probably add something to the sidebar soon to signify that exploitative advertising is not allowed.

Yes, you can. :So long as it’s on our instance, we don’t moderate content on other instances unless it’s something crazy illegal like CP or Terrorism
