No one telling Daniel to back off and try again is pretty sad, not sure if it would have mattered though.

It wouldn’t have … If he didn’t have enough gas there was no time for about stop.

In any case, he didn’t show anything hiring at performance in the practice runs or earlier quali laps… Unfortunately he is not in the form of years past and by now I doubt he’ll get there

I mean you could see on the broadcast,he went completely wide.

They should have cancelled that lap and try to get a fresh lap in,I can’t recall if they had enough time for that.

I think it was around 3 minutes and something left when he went wide. Considering how fast he was in that lap he might not have had enough fuel for that.

Yeah maybe they had the time but not sure if they had enough battery or the best tire temp for another run. But it would have been worth a try.

Whew. I stayed up in the US, and all I got was a business as usual.

Good showing from albon, tsunoda, and Carlos for sure

They just showed an onboard replay on F1TV of HUL being impeded by PER in the penultimate corner. Should be a grid penalty for PER.

Not sure what Gasly was trying by crossing the pit line at the end.

He might be playing it a bit safe, coz of the huge responsibility to bring in points this weekend especially after Logan’s sacrifice.

He was hammering it pretty hard through 9 and 10.

Would wiggle on the limit 10 exit a few times.

While it’s pretty cool to have a generational talent, it’s making the winner almost preordained. I was sort of hoping the Marko issue would get him to leave for Merc so we’d have more balance by not having him in a Newey designed car anymore.

We should give mercs the ‘masters of free practice’ title because that is the only place they are quick

Dang was hoping to see a Ferrari 1-2. Max manages to eke out a banger every time.

Albon proving the swap was the right thing to do.

RIP Hamilton. He’s already thinking about next year.

Sainz is on the warpath. I’m loving it.

Absolutely… If Carlos keeps this up, I’m betting he’ll replace Perez at RB

I do think Sainz deserves a seat in a top team… Even a Russell Sainz combo would be so much fun to watch with Merc

So much hope for that…might make next season super fun assuming he performs as well in rb as in ferarri…next year might be super fun to watch even if rb keeps dominating. Seeing how lewis does in a Ferrari will be fun…and how he manages fights with lacrec, hopefully sainz to rb and he brings a good fight to front. See if merc finally figures things out or keep trying for next upgradeTM.
