“Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre will introduce a non-confidence motion Wednesday designed to topple the government and trigger a federal election — a parliamentary manoeuvre that’s likely to fail.”

Alberta just banned solar and wind farms because they are ‘ugly’ then opened a new coal mine. They deserve some more taxes.

It’s not taxed no matter where you live, it just mostly concerns people in the Maritimes that’s why the focus was put on them.

As for why, because it’s more effective to just pay for an heat pump for these people than to charge a tax to try and incentivize them to get rid of their fuel system because with or without the tax, they can’t afford to pay the cost to change it. And that’s exactly what the government did, free heat pumps for people in the Maritimes so they get rid of their inefficient and polluting system or just keep it as a backup.

No money is moving from Saskatchewan to Newfoundland via this carbon pricing model.

Who suggested to you that it was? I’m worried someone is lying to you to sway your opinion.

The money collected by the carbon pricing program stays in that province and is redistributed to the citizens of that province.
