Have you seen anything like this before?

I’m coming up with a new puzzle concept based around trackables. I’d like to create some puzzle where you have to physically collect pieces and when assembled together they reveal another trackable code that you can log as the prize (and perhaps keep the full assembly as a trophy). An example could be a QR code that you can scan after assembly, but that would be easy to figure out using photos posted in the logs. Another option would be an electrical gadget that reveals the code when assembled, preventing it from being solved by posting pics online.

It would definitely be a long-term puzzle. Just like most travelbugs already can take years to achieve their goals. But I think it would be so satisfying in the end for both myself and the person who completes the puzzle.

Any thoughts? I only just came up with the idea so I’m still working out the details.
