I know this isn’t about lemm.ee specifically but I figured this was a good place to ask.

I always found it weird - even on reddit - that users could upvote and downvote themselves. Why not just have posts start at 0 votes?

    I believe in many elections (in the US anyways) you can vote for yourself. I assume most people always do. I think the idea of not supporting yourself is maybe a little odd.
