The Past, the Present and the Future of Virtual Reality
Maybe it’s because I haven’t tried VR in any meaningful way yet, but I can’t imagine VR going beyond gaming (not that this article implied otherwise). All this Metaverse stuff don’t seem viable to me that much. It will exist, I doubt it, but it will not be used in a serious manner in the long term.
The bet right now seems to be that for online meetings there could be a significant market. For sure it is more conducive to team-work than those tiresome Zoom calls all the time.
Otherwise I agree, the real future outside gaming is in augmented reality.
I personally have no doubt that we will spend quite some time in virtual worlds. Its basically just how you use your phone/laptop today but in a more immersive way.
Gaming, Social, Work will move partially into VR
Just imagine zoom meetings. But now you can do it with the people in the “room” I highly recommend that you try VR soon.this isn’t a fad ( anymore)
