There is a method where they use a needle to inject something into the follicle which kills it. However you need to poke yourself for every follicle you want gone. So it’s not exactly the most pleasant. Or the cheapest.

I’ve used depilatory creams on my body and face and they’re either inconsistent, or I don’t know how to apply it. I’ve never had it remove all of the hair; there’s always some that remain.
However following that up with shaving gave me the smoothest shave I’ve ever had. My face hadn’t felt that smooth since before puberty. The euphoria was real.

I should point out your mileage may vary. When I tried Nair on my face, I found it didn’t really work. Or that it was partial at best. I don’t think it’s meant for fully developed follicles.
I tried another that’s meant for the pubic region and that worked much better. But since it’s not meant for your face, I can’t exactly recommend it.

There is also the chance your skin will have a bad reaction to it, so make sure to take caution when trying for the first time.

There are depilatory creams for faces. I tried one once, but the results weren’t much better than shaving and it irritated the hell out of my skin. I know some people swear by them though. Look up Magic Shave.
