All Chicago libraries closed after unfounded bomb threats Thursday, part of what has been called a national “disturbing trend” of intimidation over books offered on library shelves.
This is fucking bullshit. Fuck these fucking Christians and their shitty virtues. If they don’t want to read the books, don’t read them! No one is making anyone read them. It’s time these motherfuckers started minding their own business. They pick and choose what to believe from their contradictory holy book, and they’re not at all afraid/ashamed to be complete hypocrites. No one should be using their religion to dictate what others can and can’t do. Fuck you and your god.
It really is a “give an inch, take a mile” kind of thing. Like as a society we’re already ridiculously generous to religious people - every city has multiple, un-taxed, absurdly opulent buildings for them to use as much as they want to do whatever they like in, plus there are huge networks of religious schools that get tax-payer funding as well, and they’re still out in the streets preaching and interfering with almost every other aspect of existence - shutting down libraries, getting films banned or altered, messing with politics etc. It’s ludicrous IMO.
