wait, on a lark I just switched back to Samsung despite it being a privacy nightmare. This works way better for me. I have the buttons set to an enormous size and have most autocorrections turned off. Would that help you?
While I was looking for alternatives I grabbed florisboard and openboard. Only Openboard has gesture typing but I think they both had some options for button placement. And they’re open source
Hit the elipse dot symbol at the top of the keyboard and then the button to resize should be on the left. Yeah they’re promising glide typing in the future but there’s no eta on it.

Floris seems nice, but no glide typing :( and i dont see how to resize individual buttons?

That just resizes the overall board? I want to be able to resize each button individually.
Will try floris some more though, there is a lot of configurability.
