Proposal: We call the family of operating systems “Linugs”. It is short and easy to remember, like simply saying “Linux”, but shows that isn’t just Linux. Hence the additional “nug”, which is also a mixing of the letters from “GNU”. Nugs are also sometimes used to describe dinky little computers so I think it works!
