I wouldn’t say it really cool, but it is not as bad as it’s made out to be. It doesn’t live up to its predecessor, and it does suffer horribly from “console-ification”, but if you can isolate it and evaluate it on its own merits it’s not a bad game.
It’s been forever since I played it though so it might be worse than I remember.
