America has disdain for tomorrows and yesterdays. We are a country of today only. Our past is embarrassing, our future has been sold to billionaires. Art, community, public service, education, quality of life, it’s all “woke”, and therefore “political”. The conservatives hate progress, and the “liberals” are chronically passive. We can’t even have mass transit let alone beauty for the sake of beauty. Our buildings reflect our people: bland.
