Self-Promotion Guidelines: Self-promotion is welcome, but within reason. Multiple posts are allowed since we are just starting out, but keep it interesting and unique!
Sourcing and Credit: Please provide proper credit and sources for any music/videos you post if possible. It isn’t necessarily required to post here, but it definitely helps people find songs that may be hard to search up.
Discussion and Critique: Engage in meaningful discussions and critique, but keep it constructive. Use common sense!
NSFW Content: Pornography is not allowed. Keep in mind there are some ballsy users who may browse Lemmy in public spaces without NSFW filters. Try to label and tag NSFW content appropriately and avoid explicit or overly offensive material.
Sensible Titles: Use coherent and descriptive titles for your posts when possible. Since vaporwave has many stylized fonts and text, we are pretty relaxed about this. Just don’t add things such as links/adverts in the title.
Relevant Content Only: This should be obvious, but please avoid posts that are unrelated to vaporwave. We really don’t want to remove posts unless it’s something like spam.
Have Fun! Federated sites have much more freedom for users. You should be able to post without worrying about it being removed immediately over thousands of arbitrary rules. We want users to feel at home! Memes about vaporwave are allowed.

We are still new like most people that are migrating from Reddit. There’s going to be some growing pains along the way and it’s also going to take time for everyone to get used to things. Be patient!
