They have it is just leftist politics, even very basic leftist populist politics, actually has substance and love to it, it actually focuses on realworld issues and solving problems for all not just the rich.

This makes it a lot harder for people on the left to get played by a bunch of rich bastards because we don’t tend to jump at excuses to hurt and oppress people like conservatives are always doing for the rich (under some scheme that only ends up benefitting the rich).

Exceptions abound, and leftism certainly has issues and valid critiques but damn… compared to the dangerous dumpsterfire that is modern rightwing politics I got no complaints…
