    I guess you only know about the channels who cater to the lowest common denominator? That tracks.

    Corridor Digital and LTT optionally let you use their own paid platforms to view everything without ads.

    Channel 5 will sometimes run a sponsor, sometimes not based on patreon support.

    I only watch Atrioc’s 10-15m marketing videos, but in the last year I’ve seen him run one sponsor.

    I don’t think I’ve ever seen Captain Disillusion or DIY Perks run a sponsor segment.

    Kurzgesagt and Mark Rober only run ads for their own merch at this point.

    Internet Shaquille and Girlfriend Reviews always put the ad at the end to make it as easy as possible to skip.

    Zach Freedman makes great stuff and is thankful to his patreon subs, but is clear about why he still needs sponsorships to afford what he does. Same for Simone Giertz who is trying to get her own product company off the ground, but it’s not profitable.

    Yeah, it’s unfortunate how dependent on ads everything is, but the reality is it gets funding, and there is a lot of actually useful, educational content that leverages that.
