Didier Deschamps a répondu avec ironie à un journaliste suédois qui s'inquiétait du jeu français ennuyeux. Le sélectionneur des Bleus a également salué l'impression laissée par l'Espagne dans ce tournoi.

“You can go watch something else, it’s a different Euros for everyone with lower amount of goals scored than other tournaments. We have to make the French people happy with the results. Now, if the Swedes are bored, that doesn’t matter too much to me.”

On Giroud playing little: “He came on three times and he was not more effective than others. I have choices to make. Having more attackers doesn’t necessarily make us more efficient.”

“Every Spain team often has a trio in the midfield with great technical mastery. Rodri in particular is essential. They have shown the best control in this tournament.”
