Could be just that. Take a look at the booth breakdown. Almost every booth inside Albury (the largest city in the electorate) went for the independent. The 2nd largest city, Griffith, is the home to the only other booth that went that way. The rest of the mostly-rural electorate went orange.

Wow really cool! I knew it was pretty generous with time, but I didn’t realise you could go literally forever and still get full marks. Nicely done!
