  • Like i said in another comment, i never even thought about my own height untill i was like 29 and a woman pointed out that she especially liked how tall i was. I thought it was a joke, because in my mind, i was normal tall. Because to me, it was normal. Never thought about it, and i still just don’t care, except when i bump my head somewhere. It’s weird that people do care ao much. I get it when you’re tall or short enough that you have trouble finding clothing or helth related issues.

  • Interesting. To be fair, every conversion is over for me if a potential date asks me about my height. My girlfriend now is pretty tall herself and she never cared and she told me before we even met that she doesn’t care. People do constantly interrupt me, which, i don’t really know where that is from. Short jokes is absolutely correct, but weirdly enough, i never saw myself as tall, untill someone pointed it out when i was like 29. I thought i was very avarage, maybe below average, because i was always the youngest in my class, therefore the shortest. I had a roomate who was really short and i did always made short jokes about him, not really in a mean way, but in hindsight, obviously not cool. But i never saw it as a downside, or that people are even bothered that they are shorter. His girlfriend was also almost as tall as me, so again, i just thought that she doesn’t care, no one should.

As much as this is a joke, when i had to go to the military evaluation test, i just completely fucked every question by just randomly clicking on stuff. I did great at the sports exam, but the rest made me a psychotic weirdo. In the office, the guy wanted me in some elite force, because i did well in the fitness department and you have to be and i quote: “a bit of a psycho to do it.”

  • I once talked with my date about football and she said, well, when there is a really big game, she likes to watch, otherwise not really. And i asked why, it’s the same game. And she said, she doesn’t really know, she just likes to cheer for a team and hopes that they win. Which i found interesting. It’s like gambling, but boring and stretched out. When i was younger and people asked me what my team was, i always asked which team is the best, or winning, and that was my answer. Then you get so much shit for being a bandwagon fan. Like dude, you are cheering for a team that has been losing for 10 years like your life depends on it, get a grip.

  • I’m mostly baffled that when people don’t even understand the concept of “not liking sports” I have a lot of smalltalk at work with dudes and it’s always something like: wait, so you have no idea who won the football game? What happened?

    Oh i don’t watch football.

    Never?

Nope, i have never seen a football match.

Huh. So you just watch the big games.

    No, never.

But you watch the World championship.

    No.

Not even when your country plays?

Is it still millionaires chasing a ball in a really boring manner? Then still no.

It’s not even just sports, somehow, some people can’t comprehend that someone doesn’t like or even know of “insert mainstream thing”. C’mon, stop pretending you don’t know famous artist who sells out stadiums. For fucks sake, why would i? I maybe read their name at some point or maybe a song was once playing in a mall, but other than that we don’t live the same life.
