I bike! Both to work, general transportation (for example grocery shopping) and just for fun.

GissaMittJobb@lemmy.mlto Casual Conversation @lemm.ee•What's your going to sleep routine?English4·1 day ago- Brush teeth
- Lie down in bed
- Put in earplugs
- Read a book on e-reader until falling asleep
- Put away e-reader and sleep
I used to use my phone in bed and watch videos until falling asleep until fairly recently, when I decided to try to switch it for reading books instead. I’m seeing great results so far, falling asleep earlier and staying asleep more consistently

Been a long time since I watched it.

Same goes for the rest of the U.S on account of having elected Trump twice fwiw, only nature from coast to coast now
GissaMittJobb@lemmy.mlto Technology@lemmy.world•Tesla Slumps Below 50% Share of California's Electric Car MarketEnglish7·3 days agoI believe there was a 100% tariff in place pre-Trump meltdown on Chinese EVs in the U.S, making them less viable in that market. The EU also tariffs them heavily, which is quite a pity.

I’ve started using it and the difference between using 80% and 100% on a daily basis is negligible, I rarely if ever let my device go below about 35% anyway. So this change is basically free battery life for the device

GissaMittJobb@lemmy.mlto Casual Conversation @lemm.ee•What's a typical day off work for you?English3·4 days agoA typical Saturday:
- Wake up later than usual (08:00-09:30 instead of my regular 07:00)
- Make breakfast, coffee and oats
- Enjoy breakfast while watching something interesting or listening to a podcast
- Take my bike down to the store to do the primary shopping for the coming week
- Have lunch with my partner
- If the weather permits, go for a longer bike ride, or a run in the park
- If not, do an indoor bike session
- Relax for the rest of the day, maybe play some video game or watch a movie

Everyone needs to have their own personal airplane and use it for all trips since the country is so large, this is the only solution that can adequately serve all trips and hence must be the exclusive option

GissaMittJobb@lemmy.mlto News@lemmy.world•Temu and Shein will raise prices for US customers due to Trump's tariffs6·5 days agoAnother data point in the same vein: I’ve picked up loads of great cycling gear from AliExpress for a fraction of what it would have cost me buying it locally. I also picked up a great set of scales for my coffee brewing.
You definitely have to be more careful about what you buy, as the default option on AliExpress is basically to get garbage - at least if you choose cheap stuff - but some very good stuff can be bought there.
Depends on what kind of storage infrastructure is available to you. When commuting, I can lock my bike inside a bike room at both ends, which requires a badge to open. The chance of my bike getting stolen on a commute is very slim.
