11·2 days agoI didn’t say it’s not a thing. I’m saying what would be the point of using it for fraud? You don’t make money from a failed launch.

11·2 days agoWhat would they gain from that? Insurance won’t cover lost income from a dysfunctional satellite. Also pretty sure if you could get insurance it’d be extremely expensive for a launch on an unproven rocket.

1·3 days agoYou can use your private army to gain currency and other assets by stealing them from other entities. Governments typically don’t like this but if you’re a big enough force they will negotiate.

2·5 days agoIt’s really hard to determine when the right time to transition is. It’ll be costly to build a factory producing obsolete battery tech. Both Honda and Toyota are sitting on some large cash reserves. They see the writing on the wall it’s just tricky to know when to pull the trigger.
Compared with ME though? I remember the first couple times I used ME it crashed. XP was at least always based on the NT Kernel and therefore had some basic stability.

2·7 days agoWhat’s happened is that there have been tons of conspiracy theorist claims against water fluoridation. These claims are not based on any scientific evidence.
However, valid criticism has also been suppressed and in the process fewer studies have been conducted. The topic has been highly politicized, especially recently.

Science@mander.xyz•Fluoride in drinking water has no effect on IQ or brain function, long-term study shows
21·7 days agowhy can’t we have both?
Because drinking water is a basic need and should not be medicated when it’s not even a great way to apply the medicine.
Note that while the risk of issues from proper dosing is low. Improper dosing can and does occur. Sandy City, Hooper Bay, Richmond to list a few. When you improperly dose community water you’re affecting everyone using the water.
If toothpaste or mouthwash was improperly dosed, it would be mostly spit out and the risk is minimized while also maximizing exposure to the enamel.

Citation needed.
Of course, fluoride toothpastes are great, but it’s not the best solution for everywhere.
Why not? Or more specifically, why is this insufficient in the US? Are there studies comparing the efficacies?
