LONDON (AP) — The Group of Seven wealthy democracies agreed Saturday to support a global minimum corporate tax of at least 15% to deter multinational companies from avoiding taxes by stashing profits in low-rate countries.

    I don’t understand the purpose. They’ll never be able to drop taxes enough to compete with the other countries. Just tax em good

        Yeah, in retrospect my comment is way off. IDK what I was thinking here.

        But my point stands. Lowering taxes does nothing against tax heavens. It would be neat to have a global minimum corporate tax. I’d be surprised if it will ever happen though.

              there is no body to make such thing on a global scale. that is some start.

                Yeah, which makes my point relevant in a sense. Right leaning people often think lowering the taxes will result in less tax evation, but I don’t believe we can lower taxes to compete with tax havens.
