I’ve set up automatic news feeds from the BBC, NPR, New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and CNN so far to their own magazines. That way you can subscribe to a specific magazine to get articles from the publishers you like. (I’m also still tweaking how much content gets pulled in so its not too much or too little). There is also a catch-all news magazine that I manually curate news article links for.

Manually curated and posted news links (various sources):
https://fediverse.boo/m/news

Automated news feeds:
https://fediverse.boo/m/wsj_news
https://fediverse.boo/m/nyt_news
https://fediverse.boo/m/wsj_news
https://fediverse.boo/m/npr_news
https://fediverse.boo/m/bbc_news
https://fediverse.boo/m/cnn_news

I plan on adding additional magazines that aggregate links from other websites (not just news) but I am waiting to hear from the community on what content they would like to see.

Definitely drop me some feedback if there is any additional content I should automatically add to dedicated magazines. I was thinking the next genre of stuff to work on could be gaming but you guys let me know.

Hope to see some new people jumping into discussions on posts over there!

Struggling to subscribe to this for some reason from lemmy.world. Searching for !news@fediverse.boo returns no results. And insists on it, for some reason. Punching https://lemmy.world/m/news@fediverse.boo into my address bar returns a 404. Using basic Firefox on PC.

I usually just ignore subs that don’t provide one of the hyperlinks that automatically works for me, but I really want this sub. Anyone have any ideas what’s up?
