Fucking LMAO, the US doesn’t give one fucking shit about it’s citizens as much as it cares about worker productivity.

California is supposed to be the “lefty” state. What a fucking joke.

They are the more progressive state. So imagine how other states are in regards to caring much.

California must make money at all costs. Political leanings mean nothing to the machine.

When I caught COVID I had symptoms for two weeks, and you’re telling me that if I hadn’t been WFH I would’ve had to go be around people for 13 of those 14 days while super contagious? Sure, people are supposed to be vaccinated now, but still, what a fucking joke.

No it’s specifically if you have no to mild symptoms and have been fever free for 24 hours. Which is exactly how we handle pretty much every other respiratory disease.

Read that again. You can have mild symptoms but you have to be fever free. So if you are coughing and sneezing but have no fever, you’re good to go apparently.

As of Jan. 9, people who test positive for COVID-19 but have mild symptoms and have been fever-free without the help of medication may return to school or work after one day of isolation.

Yes, thanks for saying literally what I said. Almost verbatim.

And yeah, that’s how we handle literally every other seasonal respiratory illness.

You don’t see a difference between having no mild symptoms and then being able to go to work, which is what you said, and having mild symptoms, which is what this allows you to go to work with? Really? What you said is that people cannot go back to work unless they have no fever and are not coughing and sneezing for at least a day. Except that this change allows people to go back to work while they are still coughing and sneezing.

They said “no to mild” symptoms. As in the range from zero symptoms to mild symptoms.

Sad but maybe at least someone will drag the virus into a mansion of some superrich prick and he’ll spend the rest of his life with brain fog.

You don’t think the ones that are rich enough to matter (ie influence politics) actually ever interact with us plebes, do you?

Beyond that, like Trump when he got COVID, they’ll be afforded the best treatments and you can bet your ass their insurance will cover it.

Of course they do someone cleans their houses, someone drives their limousines, someone brings cookies to meetings with lawyers.

Some research shows that the newer variants can hang in the air for up to 12 hours.

I would love to see the science behind this reasoning considering everything so far still indicates you’re still potential contagious for five days with or without a fever.

But hey, good luck with this given that the new strain is more communicable than the current batch of variants.

Clearly no one in this thread is reading the article and wants to act like it’s still March of 2020.
